biography

In 2016, British/Rwandan singer-songwriter Jennifer Kamikazi released her Debut EP ‘Wildflower', which to date has over 1 Million streams. She has since released another successful EP entitled ‘Wander in Wonder’.

Kamikazi’s unique surname means ‘little queen’ in her mother tongue of Kinyarwanda. Before moving to the UK, the indie/folk artist grew up on a little farm in Rwanda. Nights spent under the stars listening to folk tales called ‘imigani’ in her home country left Kamikazi with a deep appreciation for story- telling.

Jennifer has one of the most haunting and distinctly captivating voices, a voice she didn’t know she had until her discovery of folk music and song-writing in her late teens. After graduating with a degree in Biochemistry, the self-taught guitarist swapped her pursuit of the sciences for music. Her brave venture was not at all in vain as she quickly made her mark on the London music scene and recently expanded her territory by touring in Germany, Czech Republic, and Paris. Jennifer has also captured the attention of the international platforms Sofar Sounds, WPP TV, as well as London Live Sessions.
